And the original question was "why does it matter that he was black", and asked if he would have posted the story had the student been White or Asian instead for example. Would it be a story that people felt the "need" to mention race if that was the case? You don't see a problem there?Again, this should have been a story about a school district, with dismal graduation rate compared to most other Long Island school districts (one that is predominantly white by the way, before someone tries to bring race into that too) |
