Yes, but it IS the point. Why is it racism to describe a perpetrator of an alleged crime? That's good for many things, as in describing who did it, especially when trying to catch someone. Law enforcement shouldn't be reporting a "teenager with black hair about 6 feet tall as opposed to a (white black hispanic asian fill in a blank) teenager with black hair about 6 feet tall did whatever. There is reasoning for describing what a criminal or alleged criminal looks like.There's absolutely NO reason for having to describe the race of a teenager that did something like this. Why is "being black" pertinent? Other than, "wow what a surprise a black kid could do this" (and that goes back to that's terrible). |
