I should add, for everyone else's benefit, that I thoroughly disapprove of what Snowden did. Primarily in the WAY that he did. I think that getting information out as to what had been going on was an important thing for all of us to know. However, he vetted his information VERY poorly and got a lot of innocent people killed as a result of his scattershot methods of whistleblowing. I have a *major* problem with that.

Unlike many in the "intelligence community" however, he did serve a valid purpose in letting folks know what our own government had been up to. However, he REALLY should have limited his release to generalizations (with proof) rather than the unnecessary specifics that were releases with everything else. He did an awful lot of damage to GOOD works and the result of his activity has literally crippled the legitimate intelligence gathering we had been doing. NSA has been neutered as far as their ability to dig into what's going on in Ukraine and other places as a result.

With what I've done for the past 15 years or so, I do appreciate a little more of the details than many. I only wish he had the same understandings and had limited the details a bit.
