OK...so Christie, who has a known reputation for maintaining a tight span of control over his subordinates, knows NOTHING of what his immediate staff is doing? If he is telling the truth, (doubtful), then he has NO cognizance or control over his people, which is a core function of his job. If Cristie is lying, then HE engineered a four-day obstruction that endangered human lives, upset interstate commerce, and damaged the economic health of municipalities on BOTH sides of the bridge. Either way, it's a BIG problem.He fired Bridget Kelly, the one person who could possibly offer an explanation or accounting of this whole sorry episode, but refused to hear anything from her. Isn't that just a little too convenient? Oh, and during today's long press conference in front of a national TV audience, Christioe claimed he'd only heard about the damning e-mails at 8:30 yesterday morning, but lost TWO nights of sleep over it. Care to explain THAT little slip? |
