The GOP was (and is) completely ignorant of what happened to New Jersey during Hurricane Sandy. The only way any recovery could begin was with Federal dollars. A disaster of Sandy's magnitude causes party lines to evaporate, and even a blowhard like Christie understood this.That said, if his deputy concocted this whole Bridge fiasco on her own, it shows that Christie has no cognizance or control over his own people. Even in the Ironbound, that's par for the course... PS, it's a shame that a city which has so much for a railfan to enjoy, is otherwise such a MESS...SMH! INB4 shade against Booker--he started the turnaround by completing the PAC, and things are actually beginning to improve... |
