They *do* ... what the specific requirements of an individual contract may vary somewhat, bringing any kind of "adverse publicity" down on the show can get you shitcanned. Natch, there's Snooki and all, but in the end, what happened to the show?Those clauses are different for serious journalist types (insanely stringent) but as far as morons with cameras, if you embarass the network and it doesn't raise the ratings as a result, then you get subjected to the "Chuck Barris" clause ... "the ratings are in, and YOU are out." That one works every time. :) |
