Also most of Begin's violent activity was after the war was over. Yes there were still threats to Jews in some places, but most Jews were not threatened with death after the end of the war. And during the war Jews wouldn't likely have been able to get to Palestine if threatened in Europe.

And South African policies toward blacks were similar to German policies toward Jews from about 1933 until 1938 (before the establishment of concentration camps to which you could be sent specifically for being Jewish).
