The way it always worked was that you had to qualify for the one division you were going to work. You COULD go back to schoolcar and qualify for the other - the equipment and territories are THAT different. So you would end up qualifying for either/or. But the rules are if you're going to switch divisions, you must REQUALIFY for the other one, so back to schoolcar again.

When I came in, I was assigned to A division but when we started schoolcar, they were short for B division folks, so they asked for volunteers. My hand was up so fast, papers fell off desks. Heh.

There's also C division which is misc and work equipment and there you're qualified for either, but you no longer work revenue. Does that help?
