Funny thing about HUD ... WLNA was the AM side, got hired up because the sales manager of the station lived across the street from me in the Bronx and they had a tough time keeping people who would play Montovani and thousand strings and that stuff. I knew the music, so no prob. It also helped that I was in AFTRA, so did plenty of vacation relief gigs at WTFM and WRFM and WHN, so REALLY knew the stuff. Hated it, but had no problem playing it.

Worked for WRNW also when they were still in Mount Kisco in the house down the street from the railroad station. That was a fun gig. Got to play whatever the F I wanted. Was there about two years before they hired Howard Stern. Small little inbred world in NY radio though. :)
