And on Atlantic Avenue between Flatbush Avenue and Court Street in Brooklyn, they'd hoist him on their shoulders and sing Allah's praises. I walked through that area on 9/11 on the way to the LIRR at Flatbush Avenue from my office in lower Manhattan. Every single Muslim-owned shop was open for business. There are a lot of Muslims in that area and they have a loudspeaker on the roof of one of the buildings calling men to prayer. |
