I'd be looking at it as grabbing one near NYP, heading on down to lower east side, grab something to eat, hit a bike path or two, wander around and see what's changed over in alphabet city, maybe a mugging or two and then head back. Can't do all that in a half hour,The daily and weekly "memberships" give only a 30 minute free ride before time charges start. So far, the average trip has been around 2.5 miles (50 blocks) in about 20 minutes. That's a 7.5 mph pace. Your first trip would be from NYP to the LES to where you eat. The second trip would be looking at Alphabet City and heading to the Hudson River Bike Greenway. The third trip would be from the Greenway back to NYP. |
