But for most of the nation's history (at least through Vietnam) that wasn't the fact.Just curious: assuming that there are sufficient MREs available, can any soldier ask for any kind of MRE, even if they are under no religious obligation to require it? And how do mess halls handle the situation? At most mess halls I was at you could ask NOT to have this or that, or choose one or another of something if there was a choice, but I can't imagine separate mess lines for Kosher or Halal as I believe would be strictly required if you were observant. |
