It's not colonization guilt.By giving priority to people from former colonies, the UK and France retain influence in the nations of the Commonwealth and of La Francophonie that they would not have otherwise. They do it out of their own self-interest and not out of any guilt. They have ZERO guilt regarding their atrocities in those colonies. They are in complete denial about their colonial treatment of those countries and it's unpatriotic for anyone there to even bring it up. |
