No, but I once took an Airbus down to the facility in Lake City, Florida where heavy maintenance was done on the Airbus and Delta 757s. It was like a municipal airport with cracks in the pavement and grass growing from the cracks. The guy in the Control Tower was also our van driver and the voice of Lake City high school football. I remember there was an ice cream parlor within walking distance of our hotel and a Cracker Barrel across the parking lot where I ate the Uncle Herschel's Favorite®. To better illustrate my point, here is the Uncle Herschel's Favorite®:Two Eggs cooked to order with Grits, Sawmill Gravy and Homemade Buttermilk Biscuits along with Real Butter and the best Preserves, Jam n' Apple Butter available. Served with Fried Apples or Hashbrown Casserole and your choice of Hickory Smoked Country Ham, Grilled Pork Chop, Sugar Cured Ham or Fried Chicken Tenderloin. Amanda once launched devastating counterattacks against me for my stance on Cracker Barrel. She was relentless and I learned never to mess with her not ever. |
