"Happy Daysso glad you brought it up. I watch repeats once or twice a week. And I was thinking, if Happy Days was in production today, it would have to be modified to today's PC standards. The Fonz is the coolest and most popular so he would have to be a light-skinned black male or Latino. Richie would be gay. But not the first few seasons. They would build up to him "coming out" and the media would treat it like one of the most important moments in tv history. Al's would be a Mexican restaurant for no particular reason and he'd be an immigrant just to promote the agenda. Mr. Cunningham would be an intolerable bigot, sexist, ist, ist, ist. Mrs. Cunningham and Joanie would stay the same. There was a time in America like Happy Days. |
