Eh, the app is a bit wonky at this stage, but there's a lot of promise there if they're willing to put in the legwork to make it useful. I'd certainly be willing to buy a premium version of that app with a few additional features just to be a more informed consumer. What is wrong with breaking down the information asymmetry that has existed for the past 40 or so years between consumers and the corporations that supply them with products? The only possible link between the feudal capitalist model and our democratic process is the ability of a corporation's customers to vote with their wallets by not buying from a company whose policies they dislike. So why do you want to quash the one democratic element of what is otherwise a very exploitative process? And what of the right wing campaigns on the app? There's one campaign which targets George Soros' investments. I'm sure there are others, they're just not particularly popular. |
