You can't teach an old dog new tricks. I'm going to continue to speak and write in the manner that I was taught. I don't have time for such nonsense. Even at work, whenever I get "taken to task" for writing certain words, I still stand by my convictions. I once had someone tell me I have to change the word "project" and use the word "development" instead as "project" could be concieved as (get this...) "racist". Of course, me being logical by nature, duly pointed out that the buildings were called projects when they were exclusively filled with Irish, Jewish, and Italian families who didn't seem to mind the word... I didn't change the terminology BTW... |
