If you really believed "people like me" deserve the same "life, death and tax benefits" as straight people, you'd support gay marriage, not "civil unions". Civil unions do not, and never have, conferred the same "life, death, and tax benefits" upon gays as straight people now enjoy.

Gays and lesbians, in asking for marriage equality, are only seeking what everyone else already has. But in LuchWorld, that is apparently un-American.
