LION is opposed to abortion.LION is even MORE OPPOSED to the factions that this has created in the body politic. This is far more disruptful than a few murders. Heck, we have murders every day. What is the big deal about being or getting dead? Marriage is so much more than 'love" and "sex" and run-amok hormones. Anybody can have love and sex. Marriage is the FOUNDATION of the FAMILY. And the FAMILY is the foundation of CIVILIZATION. Marriage is a commitment between a man and a woman AND THE CHURCH OR COMMUNITY to support the family, and for the family to support the Church and/or community. It is the cement that holds a civilization together. Without this you are no more than a tribe of monkeys or a pride of lions. Besides the Church recognizes many different kinds of marriage. The church may perform only one kind as a sacrament, but she sees and accepts all others. Protestant marriages are seen as valid. Jewish marriages are seen as valid. Islamic marriages are seen as valid. Hindu and Buddhist marriages are seen as valid. Civil marriages are seen as valid. If civil authorities wish to make valid a marriage between a man and a man, or a woman and a woman, that is quite properly their affair. It does not say much for the foundation of family, or even of the stability of society, but there it is. ROAR |
