Have not heard any news on this for a while. Did any classics return to Spring Creek ? What is picking up the slack while all those Orion V CNG`S get painted ?

I don't think any Classics will be heading to Spring Creek anytime soon. The 8000 series RTSs were sent there instead.

Nope. I'm guessing that more MCIs are sent out than normal.

All the MCI Classics in the reserve fleet are still in Eastchester. They have had work done to them and are ready for service when needed. It is questionable if they will ever go back in service. My information is from an EXCELLENT source with great knowledge.

They've put an Orion VII on an express route at least once. I guess they ran out of MCIs or something like that.

MTA Bus has a number of buses clasified as "reserve" just in case they are needed to make service. After all shit happens :-(

Currently almost all of the classics were retired but a select few have been chosen for a reserve fleet and as training but thats about it. They will not run in revenue service again.

Damn, I wish I wasn't so prejudiced against the PBLs after riding Green Lines that one time, it would've been a real treat to ride that baby.

The Classics weren't spectacular to ride. Too dark and cramped inside, especially if you were "lucky" enough to ride one with a full adwrap.

I miss the GMC RTSs more than I miss the Classics.
