However, if RBA ever takes place, and control of routes is taken from the hands of local government, will the MTA now have control over its bus stops?

It would be easier, rather than having to adhere to each different area desires. You know, NYC wants stops X amount away fron each other, Nassau wants theirs X amount, and Westchester etc.... It becomes a pain in the behind.
