The only ones I have seen with CENTER rear doors are WMATA and the ones that had been at NYC Transit (there may be others.) |

Orion was wanting to be different for the sake of being different. Thing was it turned out to be a MAJOR flaw given that passenger flow was hindered and that the step off the rear door is a steep one.And to answer Adam's comment, the O6's aren't totally banished in Albany Division, just used for assorted filler. At this point, even their parts of split routes have become LFS's and (rarely) NABI's. |

[What is the logic of having the rear door all the way back?]European transit buses often have rear doors all the way back, but they also have middle doors. The combination allows for fairly quick passenger boarding and alighting, particularly with many European operations using proof of payment systems. |

If your visiting the city and used to do moving shots on streets, that's the best way to capture the buses. Terminals on Transitway, just watch out as security is very strict. |
