A new express bus service, Q18X - Hillside Avenue, is launched, running from Hillside Avenue and City Line to 23rd Street and Madison Avenue or 57th Street and Third Avenue via Hillside Avenue, Queens Boulevard, Long Island Expressway and Queens-Midtown Tunnel (return to Queens via the Queensborough a.k.a. 59th Street Bridge).
