Posted by irtredbirdr33 on Tue Jul 7 16:04:29 2026 The former Pfizer Building at 235 East 42 Street has been undergoing reconstruction. This morning debris began falling from the building and tow of the support beams were bent. Several buildings in the area were evacuated. A frozen zone has been placed in effect between First and Third Avenue and between East 42nd and East 45 Street. This will cause major re-routes of the M-42, M-15 and the Third Avenue buses. A dispatcher was heard explaining that from 72nd to 34th Street, the southbound M15 was re-routed through Lexington Avenue, and that northbound M15's used the tunnel underneath First Avenue, bypassing all the bus stops above. |
