Yesterday on the B49 it was at the corner so I decided to take it from Sheepshead Bay to Kings Hwy.I noticed several times that people would tap with their phone and ask for a transfer, which the BO would give. Is this common now riding the buses that more people are tapping OMNY, credit card or phone? I observed this at least 8 times on my quick trip. I can see several benefits from doing this, any direction to BOs on this that anyone knows of? |

The impression I've been getting is that B/Os are avoiding any/all confrontation. If someone wants to ride for free, that's the end of the story. If someone wants a transfer, they get one, whether entitled to one or not.They should just go to POP and all-door boarding since the B/O is practically removed from all fare-related matters anyway. Once the MetroCard is "gone gone" I don't see what's to stop it and hope it's still on the table. |
