Manhattan and Bronx Surface Transit Authority

Service begins on this date on two spin-off routes, Bx-5A - Story Avenue and Bx-15B - Baychester Avenue (both of which are assigned out of Coliseum depot). The former will be renumbered Bx54, and the latter as the second Bx19, on July 1, 1974.
In addition, the Bx-5 - Bruckner Boulevard line is re-routed via Pugsley Avenue, Story Avenue, Bronx River Avenue, Bruckner Boulevard and Westchester Avenue to Fox Street.
