My favorite.

This type, but The Green Buss Line Q-7 was my School Bus to and from South Ozone Park and John Adams H.S.

That was not a realistic livery anyway, that's based off of 2969. NYC Omnibus and NYC Board of Transportation weren't the same entity.

Here is what I remember.

The back of the bus was where the Kool Kids sat.

Is that 355?
I only remember the 1979 8 cylinder 355.

Just ordered the Las Vegas Model. CAT in LAs Vegas had #201-#206 and #254-#261. The NYC model im getting in January. The number and route are both correct as #303 was assigned to Ulmer Park depot and the B64 is assigned to that depot. The only thing i noticed it didnt have the roof top like some of the Grummans did.

They do a good job. I ordered the NYC, SCRTD and SF Muni Grummans. The RTD one is accurate from what I can tell, fleet #7634, route designation is 485, which was a Division 3 route, and 7634 was assigned to Div. 3 when new. I think they even got the license plate correct (CA exempt #746036, or something like that. I used to keep track of license plates and that is the sequence that a 1980 Gruman would have had). I never saw the Muni Grummans (first visit was August 1988, at which time they were long gone), but they put on the 15 Third | Fisherman's Wharf Area sign, which is legitimate (I saw it on the Flyer D902s and M-A-N artics when I visited, also, for most of my SF visits, I stayed at a hotel on the 15-Third route, so it kinda served as my "home" route when ever I was in SF)

Did New York experience the same issues with them as suburban Chicago did?

Yes of course NY did. That’s why they called in the emergency backups from D.C.

I know you didn't ask, but SCRTD in L. A. did as well. It was somewhat mitigated by the fact that the first of 940 1981 GMC RTS T8O-204s had gone into service the previous week. There was some shuffling of buses, some older ones were brought out of retirement. Around mid-January, between the RTS and older buses broguht back, RTD was back at the fleet size before the Grummans went out.
