According to the article the rail line doesn’t even fulfill that purpose quite adequately, pointing back to the Super Bowl and Wrestlemania, and saying that the line itself isn’t good enough if New Jersey wants to host the World Cup in 2026.Looking at the article, that World Cup bid is really what this is all about. I mean I’m sure the World Cup will bring plenty of money to the state, but I’m just hoping that at least some of that extra money will in turn be spent on more useful projects like the Northern Branch or MOM. |

The rail line can carry a lot more if the seating configuration is changed. Perimeter seating on a subset of cars is a lot cheaper than building a whole new BRT line. |
