B98v & Q98v-New York City's Two COVID-19 Vaccine Shuttle Bus Routes. The MTA created two new routes back on March 1st for people to get to/from their vaccine appointments between their respective apartments and the vaccine hubs. The two routes are the B98v of Brooklyn, which operates between the Pink Houses in East New York and the Medgar Evers College Vaccination Site in Crown Heights of Brooklyn. The B98v is dispatched out of both the Flatbush and Fresh Pond depots with the 2018 New Flyer XD40 Xcelsior has the route’s vehicle.
The second one is the Q98v of Queens, which operates between the Edgemere Houses in the Rockaway peninsula and the York College Vaccination Site in Jamaica, Queens. The Q98v is dispatched out of the JFK depot with the 2008 Orion VII Next Generation HEV Lead Acid units (ex-NYCT; shown in this video only) has the route’s vehicle. Both routes operate daily between 6:30am to 9pm and will run until further notice. This is made by the MTA to help senior citizens and everyone else to get to/from their respective vaccine sites.
