An expectation that Biden will have the rest of the country pay NYC's transit spending deficit.

They are still planning to hike the tolls this spring. I think the hearings for those have concluded.

The hike will be delayed "by several months", which means hikes happening this year are not totally off the table. Depends on Washington. We shall see.

Should the federal government--meaning taxpayers nationwide--have to pay for a New York problem? True, other localities have their problems, but the magnitides pale in comparison to New York.

Every transit system in the country has the same "problem". We pay more taxes than they do since we have population, a far bigger economy, and we are not an automobile society like the sunbelt states, who we subsidize anyway in general.
