I'd add more trips to the N78/79.. especially on weekdays past 6pm

Some NICE routes have strong patronage, usually of people going to/from work. This includes odd hours, such as in hospital work. That's why I'm glad to see later service on N40 and N41.
---
The bus I most often see is the n19, with few passengers. The schedule might get a worker to work, but won't get him or her home. Deli and bagle staff are needed early. N19 has no service late morning and mid-day. Why ride the bus one direction only? Workers go to/from.
---
Yesterday's head-on crash on the Southern State at 5:10 a.m. shows that the workers (no slouches) ride autos from Hempstead to Farmingdale. Unfortunately, they were the victims of a driver traveling west on the eastbound lanes.

I din't understand why N19 service has just about collapsed.
