Posted by Q23 on Sun Sep 13 19:50:51 2020 Some footage of the overnight bus service that has been running since the overnight subway shutdown. There are Bx99 and B99 buses, in addition to SBS schemed units on the M15 Local. Some M15 runs during overnight hours are being covered by Quill, which typically sends out their LFSAs. Also in the mix are the artics on the Q60, and the hybrid units on the QM17.            Thanks for viewing! |

Thanks! Ridership still has yet to pick up in a few areas, including the Upper East Side. Some may just not be making trips at that time, or are using other modes than the bus.However, as of a little over two weeks ago, the B99 and Bx99 routes have seen more ridership. The Bx99 in particular started off as an artic route, then went to using 40 foot bus days later. Ridership basically went up drastically in the last week of August, and artics were placed back on the route. |

I just noticed in the pic of #3700 that the QM17's front sign references Cross Bay Blvd while its side sign references Woodhaven instead, though both reference Beach Channel Drive. I wonder how many "discrepancies" like that exist between front and side signs (where an entirely different name is mentioned on one vs. the other). |
