Drivers are paid more and fuel costs are higher. It was proposed mainly due to the crowds from Kingsborough. The B1 now only carries about a half dozen passengers at a time. |

The mid-day B1 I was on this past week was already 50% full by the time it left 86th/4th. Any additional passengers getting on at later stops would need to sit next to someone.Contrast that to the mid-day S93 which often has ZERO passengers on it leaving Bay Ridge. And mid-day S53 which has about 3 passengers max. |
