It’s interesting that the Manhattan bus map lists the Q 32 in with the Manhattan bus routes but neglects to include the BX7 which partially replaced and duplicates the M100 as far down as 165 St. It looks like the MTA really knows how to screw up a bus system as bad as it does the subway.

They also fail to list the Bx routes that go crosstown in upper Manhattan on 125th, 145th, etc.

I think it is something kept from history when the Q32 was a MaBSTOA route and was the M32 and fifth avenue coach company route 15 before that. Q32 has only been a 100% NYCTA Queens route since 2010.

I didn’t realize that thr Q32 was 100% NYCTA now. The last time I rode it it was split between OA and TA with the TA runs out of Casey Stengel and the OA runs out of 54 St

Yes, and it carried the number 15 as part of the FACCO route numbering scheme. AFAIK, there was a rented storage lot somewhere in Jackson Hgts where the buses were stored prior to MABSTOA creation. After MABSTOA, the lease was vacated and the buses stored at 54 St. I had heard that it was illegal for the city to lease any property for bus storage so that’s why the move was made, but that hasn’t been substantiated.

Yes, the good old days when there were completely different #15 bus routes in Manhattan.

There also existed a short shuttle route, running from Jackson Heights-Roosevelt Avenue to Broadway and Queens Blvd. It started life as FACCO 16, and was eventually carrying the label of Q89 Elmhurst Shuttle when it was cut in 1988.

I meant "three completely different #15."
