Love how they act like you have real input . Just a smoke screen to deflect criticism .

Just like racist mayors wife’s women’s statue poll . No statue for number one vote getter.

Decision made before survey .

Sometimes the powers that be in the MTA aren’t necessarily concerned with reality, but only in hearing what they want to hear.

You too? What was wrong with this post exactly? Do you sincerely believe that the MTA actually cares that much about public input, or that they’re only doing it to comply with various laws regarding public participation and to deflect criticism?

The comment about the statue poll was relevant as it’s an example of the government blatantly ignoring public input and is not simply an irrelevant dig at the Mayor’s wife. Calling her a racist was excessive. Is that your only beef with his post?

You didn't ask me, but my beef with the post is that the top vote-getter has had a street in Manhattan named after her for more than eighty years. I believe the She Built NYC commission chose fairly by selecting women who have not received that kind of official recognition and that "Brightonr68" crapped on this thread just to get on a soapbox and air a pet grievance.

And this is all of course off-topic.

The problem with a street by itself is that no one knows whom the street is named after and that is true of most streets that are not named for already widely known people like “Columbus Avenue” and “Washington Street.”

How is Bkln Bus a know nothing? Although I may or may not know him from working in operations planning in the NYCTA, but I am quite aware that he has a rather strong background in transportation planning

I hope you guys don't mind but I did a commentary on the Brooklyn Bus Redesign Network. Hope you all enjoy.

This is a commentary explaining the redesign of the Brooklyn Bus Network, as part of NYCT President Andrew Byford's Fast Forward Modernization plan.

This is the 3rd Bus Network Redesign Plan commentary on this channel. This time, its Brooklyn's turn, with a large majority of NYCTA routes, and with MTA Bus Company as the minority. They currently harbor buses manufactured by Orion Bus Industries, Novabus, Motor Coach Industries & New Flyer Industries.

The bus depots are Flatbush, East New York, Fresh Pond (located in Ridgewood, Queens), Grand Ave (located in Maspeth, Queens), Jackie Gleason, and Ulmer Park.. Please enjoy this commentary.

How? His posts show it! He's wrong most of the time! I don't know if he EVER was a good transportation planner, but his ideas and posts now certainly don't help. Don't you read all the posts where multiple people provide logic-based reasons as to why BrooklynBus's posts are incorrect???

What is the strong background that you refer to? The fact that he claims he was head of bus planning? For one whole year? How is that strong? And why would you let baseless self-claims trump logic-based arguments?

Why don't you ask me if you care so much? Additionally, you're asking the wrong question, as usual. It doesn't matter how many "changes" you are responsible for. It only matters how many good changes you are responsible for. The bad ones don't count.

Regardless, you don't necessarily need to be responsible for any good changes to be able to spot and counter stupidity. Many people here who presumably have not been responsible for any good "changes" have been very successful showing how and why your posts are wrong.

That's really dumb logic, Randy. Why would you assume something without ever asking the question first? Further, why would you believe that someone who is constantly and consistently wrong has knowledge worth trusting?

You can say whatever you want. It doesn't mean a thing. The facts remain the facts. I was responsible for the largest bus service improvements in Brooklyn and probably the city in 1978. You are responsible for disparaging others who you are jealous of.

From the way he posts I believe Bkln Bus worked for NYCT in the operations planning dept of the NYCT which I also did. How much hands on transit experience have you had. I had over 30 years of progressively responsible transit experience in both the rapid transit operations dept and operations planning. Can you top that or even come close?
