(Photos & Videos) SBS Wrapped NG's on the M1 and M7

Posted by Q23 on Thu Aug 8 16:27:08 2019

As Manhattan (primarily Manhattanville) is receiving SBS wrapped NG's from Yukon, they're typically unwrapped before hitting service. 4272, a unit that went to MCH instead, did not get unwrapped before it hit service in Manhattan. Here's some footage of that bus in service:

2009 Orion VII "Next Generation" Hybrid 4272 on the M1 LIMITED at Madison Avenue & E. 43rd Street

2009 Orion VII "Next Generation" Hybrid 4272 on the M7 at Amsterdam Avenue & 96th Street

2009 Orion VII "Next Generation" Hybrid 4272 on the M7 at Amsterdam Avenue & 97th Street

Enjoy!

Ah so that's where they all went. Yukon seemed to be missing these all of a sudden.

On a side note, seems there aren't any buses wrapped for the S79SBS anymore. We only have the blue and white and Cuomo scheme NOVAs.

Wow! Not only the wrap removal... Hale also hasn't gotten around to putting on their depot decal.

Reminds me of the old days (new look era) when buses would get moved, and they'd immediately get a fare box from the new depot, but often they'd go into service without a destination sign or the antenna being swapped (if it was going from a depot that used the small antenna to one that used the large antenna cover and vice-versa).

As an example, I would notice a recently transferred bus from either Flushing or Fifth Ave. sent to Fresh Pond still with the small fin antenna.
