It had to be earlier than that, at least for the Q113. I've been riding that route since 1977 and never paid a zone charge.

The Q-60 was Woodhaven Blvd, the Q-113 was Hook Creek Blvd (Queens/Nassau border). The Q-44 surcharge was 14 Av (Queens) Bronx-bound and Lafayette Av (Bronx) Queens-bound.

I missed the Bx6 the first time, as R36 responded and corrected. Also, I was wrong about the B26. It does stop on the Queens side of Wyckoff Avenue in the Ridgewood-bound direction.

The only change is the addition of the Bx6 SBS.

The B51 was proposed by local residents from Grand Army Plaza to Lower Manhattan but the MTA was afraid it would be too successful by taking people out of the subway, so they ran a compromised shorter route instead that served few riders. They designed it to fail because they never wanted to run it in the first place. It was discontinued for lack of use.

This is the same reason they refuse to bring back an enhanced B71 through the Carey Tunnel. They fear it will be too successful taking people from the trains.

Els and trolleys were discontinued from the Brooklyn Bridge because of weight restrictions. Only cars are allowed today.
