Manhattan and Bronx Surface Transit Operating Authority

In anticipation of the demapping of several lower Manhattan streets as preparation for the building of the vast (original) World Trade Center complex, the southern terminus of the branch of Rt. 10 - Eighth Avenue-Central Park West to Cortlandt Street is cut back to Vesey Street.

I was in NYC in July 1991, and at the time, one of my cousins was a MaBSTOA B/O (he has since retired). I rode with him on the M10 and I remember the layover was right near the WTC, though I don't recall exactly which street. Kinda poignant for me, as that turned out the be the final time I was in close proximity to the Twins :( Hopefully, one day I'll get to visit the new WTC complex.
