Posted by Q23 on Sat Jan 12 23:18:49 2019 ...is now renumbered 145. It got renumbered as a result of the incoming Xcelsior XD40 order which overlaps with the remaining Orion VII CNGs. It is not expected that the others will be renamed. Here is two videos of that bus in action:Enjoy, and subscribe fore more interesting stuff! |

It still shows up on tracker as 7685 and will show both that and the Xcelsior if they're both running.Great catch though! I hope to catch this bus in person before it's gone. Definitely will miss the Orion VII CNGs dearly. |

Part of it is a game of luck. It has been on the Bx27 these past few days, so you could try that if you see it on the Bx27 (although one of those days, the Xcelsior was on it instead). I also like the Orion VII CNGs a lot, primarily the first generation ones. A lot of people don't like them or feel indifferent but I liked they way they look and sound. I also prefer CNG buses over the diesels and hybrids. |

They're the last buses we have with DD Series 50 Engines which is another reason why they're so unique.This unit must've had it's tanks renewed at some point as it's the only 7600 left and they've retired up to around 7780 already (assuming the rest went right as their Yanks expired). |
