It was a shame when TA did away with BLOCK TICKETS. |

Posted by B68 SLOW POKE on Wed Mar 14 15:01:19 2018 Back in the day. The TA would issue BLOCK TICKETS [green tickets] Operators use to receive them. And use them for passengers in need.But because of abuse by a few operators the TA did away with them. A loss. |

Block tickets today are issued when there is a "block" in subway service. The customer then uses it to board a bus that they otherwise wouldn't have a free transfer to. |

G.O. tickets are printed vertically.Block tickets are printed horizontally, are suppose to be punched on the date issued and good for 2 days. |
