He's limiting that to real estate - which is not all that crazy, given that it's a finite resource here.

That means he’s a communist when it comes to real property. And the fact that it’s scarce makes communism entirely useless. Communism can only work in the absence of scarcity.

queens boulevard itself is a poorly designed thoroughfare. crosses way too many variant street grid patterns. even flatbush avenue (somewhat equivalent in purpose, i.e., a prime boro-crossing arterial) is more efficient.

There's no reason to. They were shut 40 - 50 years ago for a reason.

ahhh. well then...oh, and i forgot: re-open union hall street also. because if the reason was, diversion of ridership to adjacent, cheaper bus transit, i will suggest that there is a larger population living along that corridor (say, floral park to jamaica) then there was 50 years ago. and I don't see many other ways to "upgrade" those formerly suburban villages.
