Cool. I didn't know so many buses were sent to them like that.
I wonder if the year of the bus is correct for all them. Someone can correct me but I don't think we had any 1976 buses. 1974 and 1975 7000 Flxs and of course 1977.

I'm just guessing, perhaps delivery year vs model/contract year?

Any info on what MaBSTOA GM New Looks wound up on MSBA's roster, their original numbers and what they ended up as? I understand quite a few of the 1965 6401-6900 series buses wound up on the Island of Long . . .

No bus roster, but one bus photo:

I remember that on as a school bus. But I'm not sure if it was out of Flatbush or Gleason in 1990. Some of those 6xxx buses spent their entire careers at Flatbush. Maybe that was one of them. I wonder what year the roster would say that bus was? It's a '72 but the roster may say '71.

I didn't know their official year either, but with the roster being 1 year off from what most of us thought the buses to be... I think it could easily be one of those things where they may get identified by the year of the contract/fiscal year and so on.

My knowledge comes from recalling the registration receipts on the buses themselves and the Ohio museum of transit's lists from the manufacturers.

I knew I saw 6149 on the N48 one time. Besides 7596, there were four other TA Flx buses loaned to MSBA then, 9032, 9052, 9054 and 9055.
As for the 1965 GM MABSTOA buses leased to MSBA, they were 6483, 6485, 6486, 6493, 6582, 6688 and 6689 which were in MSBA numbers 500-506 respectfully. No batwing buses were sent.
The online bus list website I got the info from no longer exists.

Why not Gleason? What did they have?
Admittedly I remember 60xx and 62xx from Gleason but I couldn't rule out 61xx.
Ulmer never sent out a 6xxx on the B1 in late 1990-91. I remember 6246 and a couple other others like 6279 showing up on sept 92 on the B1.

Besides the 1965 5303s, MSBA also had, at one point or another, ten 1961 TDH5301s (#571-580, ex-1093, 1059, 1086, 1017, 1057, 1070, 1081, 1055, 1023, and 1108), and at least 14 Blitzes which retained their original (re-)numbers (5205, 5244, 5324, 5375, 5382, 5401, 5402, 5403, 5507, 5508, 5516, 5521, 5525, and 5549). MSBA also received five MaBSTOA 1969 Flxibles (#507-511, ex-4600, 4688, 4670, 4606, and 4607) and a handful of 1981 RTSes renumbered into the 4xxx series.

Those 55xx buses were out of Gleason when I was in high school. They were so nice it's a shame they didn't last longer. We're those 54xxs out of Flatbush?

I do recall some high 5300 series and 5400s at FLA. The lower 5300s were at MABSTOA's HUD depot.

ok. I'd say Flatbush had from about 5365 up to 5403.
I always wondered where the lower 53xxs were.

I recall that in 1990 Gleason had 6045 6047 6049 may have been at Flatbush and 6085. I only saw 6085 once and it was a B9.
