From a bus-fan on Facebook....I would say, at first I was not impressed with #9000 at all. But after seeing it in person, my opinion changed. The dashboard features a embedded camera, the wheelchair seats - each could fold up individually. Same applies with the new "stroller" seat near the rear door. The only thing with this is that it looses one seat from the typical New Flyers which has 39 seats. However, it may be practical to hold more standees as there appears to be a tad bit more space. Unknown of the delivery schedule for these 525 buses but the capital budget did specified roughly 100 to be delivered per year until 2021. I would imagine 100 buses would be due by the summer or fall of 2017 portion of the order... Hopefully more information to come... |
