Thannks, but not planning another trip to the city for a couple of months, and it would be a weekend. The GCT tourist office ought to stop handing out 2014 ones. It is a shame the LIRR Customer Service office, which was quite palatial and had everything, has been relocated and reduced to something the size of an ADA train toilet. |

Like riding interesting routes and visiting interesting stations. And of course attending special events, transit related or not. And don't forget all the museums and parks. |

Thanks again for your mail. Now the question I have is about a box shown near Marine Park. It says B44 and S79 are SBS and that one must pay before boarding. Well, that was not so when I rode S79SBS in October. Has something changed ? |

I would not necessarily know about that other than all SBS routes are "Pay-before-boarding".Maybe something special was going on with the S79 last October. I am sure one of the other participants can shed some light on that. |

Bus driver told me they only have pay boxes "in the city". It has been called "SBS" as a federal funding gimmick to get a bus lane. But now, I do not know what is going on, unless they goofed making the map. |

Why did you have to wait to receive a paper copy before asking this question? 2. You can find the answer online. I googled it and the third result was an MTA webpage about SBS S79 that states that you pay onboard still. 3. Unless I'm missing something, NYCT is sending some seriously mixed messages about S79. On the map, and also on the S79 timetable, it says that all SBS buses have to be paid off-board before boarding. And that's not correct. |

Unless it is a one-page google or bing map of a specific local street system, I'll wait for the paper map and study it that way. I prefer traditional paper maps opened up in front of me. |

Ok, but you can just look at it on-screen and change the zoom level all you want. It's dynamic.Similarly, you can look at the Brooklyn Bus Map PDF on-screen and change the zoom level all you want. |
