S20 Montauk Highway/Oak Street Loop Effective 2/22/16

It uses the same 2 buses that the current S20 does, but provides more frequent service from Sunrise to Babylon (and depending on where on the route you're traveling to, it might not be much slower than the current service if you want to ride the "long way" around the loop. I like the fact that it gets rid of the backtrack near the South Bay Shopping Center. I guess they figured if the current S20 basically has its full layover at Sunrise, they might as well take advantage of that and have it cover Montauk Highway as well. The span is slightly longer than the old S20 span, but still doesn't match the old n19 span (nor does it run Sundays). Still, I think it's better than the current setup, which leaves that part of Montauk Highway with nothing.

Yeah, the new proposal uses an extra bus (which should theoretically allow for each loop to run every hour instead of every 90 minutes). They added too much runtime to the schedule IMO.

There has been no official word however, that I know of at least, for why this move has been done.
