Over 100 people expressed their dissatisfaction with the plan. I was treated like a local hero. Someone i did not know brought 30 copies of the paper and urged everyone who hasn't done so to read the article. The assemblymnan came over to shake my hand after the meeting as did a dozen others. I spoke at least five minutes. But who knows if it will help. In Flushing 300 people opposed the bus lanes on Main Street last March. NYCDOT said they would reconsider due to all the opposition and las week installed them anyway and now everyone is complaining. |
