Apparently, many of the last Fishbowls from the PBL Companies were sold off to other companies in the early 1990's rather than scrapped (at least this was the case known with Triboro and Queens Surface). Source NYC Transit forums - thread started by (Green Lines 96) - something along the lines of "what happened to the Private Bus Lines Fishbowls (except NYBS)?". |

Not only do I have a picture of that bus in an earlier livery with orange/blue NYS License Plates waiting to start the s/b trip on the Q-11 at Queens & Woodhaven Boulevards, I have the builders plate from that vehicle.Its hard to make out, but does anyone know where the "newer" picture was taken and on what route. Thanks in advance for all your help. |

They had a number of names they went by.At the end it was QSC ... Queens Surface Corp., which was the merger of Steinway Transit & Queens Transit. When I started the Steinway garage was gone, so the whole operation was in the Queens facility. Then NYC-DOT built them a new garage & at the last minute they added CNG. |

I'm not sure if I ever got to ride on 951. I certainly remember riding 953. 959 was the other 1967 GM they were running around at the time. They ran on the Q35 and Q22 often enough. So did 970, 973, and 975. They seemed like good runners, and then one day they were all gone. |

I was very fortunate to buy the number (ID) plate of #361 from a fellow bus fan who took it out of the bus while it was being readied for the scrap line.It is from GMDD and is light orange instead of the brown from GM Truck and Bus. Also have two pictures of the bus in both the light green livery and the two stripe one. |
