Where is your evidence that SBS has had a detrimental impact?

Telling Unlimited Metrocard holders to now get a paper recipt is a step 30 years backwards.

That's a flaw in the Metrocard system which would be readily fixed by having the Metrocard's validity be determined visually, or by giving the inspectors handheld readers.

So again, what evidence is there that SBS is either flawed or detrimental? Surely for all the words squandered on this subject it should be self evident, not a problem of the outdated fare collection system.

Bus lanes are not enforced for one. Innocent drivers are being summoned. A gentleman pulling out of a parking space and crossing the bus lane to get to the traffic lane received a photo summons in the mail. Broken machines are not being repaired for two weeks time. Lane markings are worn out. Signage is insuffcient in places. Passengers are being told to pay at the next stop if the machine is out of order but the Eagle Team is giving ten summonses anyway. Buses still arrive regularly two or three at a time. The MTA is telling people they can use their SBS receipt to board a local, but the FAQs state this is specifically prohibited. How many more flaws do you want?
