The best part was the story about the crew in Philly that went to buy lunch under the elevated highway and found the pier with the giant hole in it. Frightening stuff. Its hard to believe things built in the 60s is in such a state if disrepair already. Time goes by fast. |

Tunnels and some bridges are the only items routinely built to last longer than 50 years. It is a miracle that the R-32s have lasted that long. |

The difference between you and I is that I will put my keyboard down and try a project. The QM14 did not work for me because the level of interest expressed by the ferry customers did not materialize during the transition. I did not have the resources to build the service from 90 passenger trips a day when the demand expressed was around 300 passenger trips. I am disappointed that it did not work, but this is the nature of an aggressive business. The MTA will never be given the money to do everything. I take tougher projects because I am aggressive. It is not a good idea to troll me. Go away. |
