I've actually gotten on the Q66 east of 127th Place, where the westbound splits into the Northern Blvd road and a road that joins the Grand Central Parkway later on. That's how I was able to get this shot:I took a look at my Q19 video and it passes by this unmarked stop, so theoretically it could be able to stop at this particular spot AND the stop at 126th Street, since Astoria splits off Northern Blvd over the Grand Central. The reason why the Q66 stops there but not the Q19 is something I don't know. |

DOT determines bus stops, not MTA.Perhaps there is no official stop there is because buses accellerate slowly and due to the high speed nature of the road it was felt a bus would have a hard time leaving the stop safely w/o another vehiclechaving to brake hard? |

MTA can request a stop and DOT will usually grant it. I have written to MTA to establish stops, and it has been done. |

The CP drivers made the stop for the Q19 because they've been doing this for the Q66 for many years. |

I have recently asked the MTA to have the Jamaica bound Q8 route & New Lots Avenue bound B84 routes stop at Fountain Avenue/Vandalia Avenue where currently only the Bushwick/Ridgewood bound B13 stops at to provide less walking distance for Q8 & B84 passengers departing from the Brooklyn Developmental Center. |
